Florence County Economic Development Partnership welcomes Audra Grant as Director of Investor Relations, Marketing and Special Projects

Florence County, SC - Florence County Economic Development Partnership (FCEDP) and Florence County Progress are pleased to announce the appointment of Audra Grant as the Director of Investor Relations, Marketing & Special Projects, effective September 19, 2024.  Grant brings more than a decade of experience in communications and marketing. She has worked with various media networks across the Southeast as an anchor, reporter, producer, and multimedia journalist - most recently with the Morning News in Florence and WFXB Fox-TV in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Grant, a Winthrop University graduate, also holds certification in economic development from College of Charleston and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Grant, a South Carolina native, is excited to return to Florence County for the support of economic growth and progress.  As mother of two Florence One Schools graduates, she has vested years in the school system. Grant has served as member and President of Association of Parents and Teachers (APT), F1S classroom volunteer, and participated on an advisory panel with The South Carolina Department of Education and The American Institutes for Research.  For the past 13 years, Grant has served as co-host of "Dancing for our Future Stars of Florence," an annual fundraising production by The School Foundation's - the largest private endowment for K-12 public education in South Carolina.

In conjunction with the Chief Executive Officer, Grant will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Florence County Progress, including membership development, relations, member services and special project programs to include coordination of the new marksmanship academy that is evaluating the former Florence County Landfill property located on Papermill Road.

Florence County Progress, Inc., (Progress) is the lead private sector arm of the Florence County (SC) Economic Development Partnership and is the largest economic development organization (EDO) of its type in the state with over 250+ members. Progress was created in the early 1980s by business leaders throughout the county to provide private sector support and leadership to our publicly funded economic development program. FCEDP’s mission is to be the model public-private partnership recognized across the Southeast for its success in strengthening the economic vitality of Florence County.
